What we collect

• Star ratings. When you rate a tool, we store the tool, the number of stars, the time, and your IP address. The IP address is used for one purpose: enforcing one rating per visitor per tool and spotting rating floods. Ratings are shown only as averages and counts.
• Tool submissions. If you use the Submit a Tool form, we store what you send — the tool's name, category, level and link, your notes, and your email address if you provide one (used only to follow up about your suggestion). Submissions are kept while they are reviewed and, for approved tools, as part of the listing record.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and sends usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) to Google. It is switched off if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also block it with a browser extension or opt out at Google's opt-out page.
• Connection information. Our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Short-lived rate-limit counters also use IP addresses to stop abuse of the ratings and submission forms.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information or share it for others' marketing. There are no accounts, no passwords and no payment details on this site. We never import ratings from retailers or other websites — the stars here are cast here.

Advertising and cookies

We may show ads on this site served by Google AdSense. If we do, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized ads, through a Google-certified consent message. Apart from analytics and any advertising cookies, this site sets no tracking cookies of its own.

Who processes data for us

Cloudflare (hosting, database, traffic analytics and bot protection) and Google (Google Analytics, and AdSense if advertising is enabled). Your browser contacts those services directly when you visit, so they receive your IP address.

How long we keep it

Ratings are kept as long-term anonymous statistics (an average with no name attached). Submissions are kept while under review and, if approved, as part of the listing record; rejected submissions are deleted in periodic cleanups. Rate-limit counters expire on their own within days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing us. Canadian law (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, US state privacy laws and the EU/UK GDPR give you these rights. Our servers may be outside your country, including the United States.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will update this page and its date when practices change.
